BICYCLE REGISTRATION

Lewistown Police Offer Free Bicycle Registration

All bicycles in the Borough of Lewistown must be registered with the police department under Ordinance 102.  The registering of bicycles helps in many ways including helping reunite stolen bicycles with their owners and ensuring that all bicycles are working safely.

The Borough of Lewistown is providing this free service to all owners and operators of bicycles within the borough.  To assist with this program, we are asking you, a bicycle dealer to register any new or used bicycle that your business may sell. We will provide all the items necessary for registration.

Register is simply done by:Filing out the registration form and including all the details, description, frame number color brand

  • Place a Lewistown numbered sticker provided by the police department on the down tube under the seat in a visible area and record the number on the registration form
  • Return the completed registration to the police department and the bicycle will now be included in our computerized system

If you have any questions please don not hesitate to call the police department at 717-248-6716.
